a rush order...

This was quite a rushed job, and I feel like it didn't turn out as I've expected. This order is for hantaran too, and I didn't have much idea to come up with a different design as the order date was the same as another large order.

gold themed cupcakes...

My customer requested for a gold themed cupcake for an engagement event. This is the first time I'm using the gold luster dust on fondant, and I didn't think it's going to be a very light gold glitter on the fondant. I imagined it's going to be a very shiny gold effect...well, I was wrong about that!

up till 3am...

I was up till 3am this morning to prepare these cupcakes. These were sold at an official event today where we were promoting the cake baking program. I wanted to get people to try out different flavors of cupcakes, so, I made 4 different flavors this time. Which is why I was still icing the cakes at 3am..   :)

Although I was tired from the 'late night shift', but I had fun today and happy that it was sold out.
TOP from left: Chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache, Apple Cinnamon with Butter cream icing.
BOTTOM from left: Vanilla cupcake with Butter cream, Poppy Seed cupcake with Lemon.

This were for display, but in the end we sold it anyway. ;)

a mini cake and cupcakes

This is for a colleague of mine who's leaving the company by end of this month. This is chocolate cake with vanilla flavor butter cream icing. These cupcakes are large cupcakes, not the usual size I usually bake. I always thought that the large paper cup don't make the cupcakes look cute, but in this case it looks okay to  me : )
Definitely will use this again in future.

sugar cookies & green tea cupcake

I wanted to make these sugar cookies for quite some time. But every time I plan to bake them, some things always came up and I keep on delaying it. Anyways, I finally made them today. I decorated a few pieces, and I think this is even more tedious than decorating cupcakes!!! I don't know how some people can really do this for hundreds of cookies.

I also managed to bake green tea cupcakes today. Couldn't resist to try it out since I saw the green tea powder at the baking supply store. This will be added in my flavor list.

cupcakes for a wedding ceremony

Made these cupcakes yesterday and decorated it last night. It was quite a rush job since I got the order the day before. I know that I mentioned that I need at least a few days "lead time" for orders, but I just couldn't say no this customer because she has been so supportive of my business since I started, and it also helps that I  have available gum paste on hand. Without the gum paste, there's no way I can make these flowers yesterday. Anyways, thank you Rohayu for ordering!

blueberry cheese cake

This is my second attempt making chilled cheese cake, thank God it turned out okay this time! Learned this recipe from the baking class and I think this is one of the recipes that I really like so far. The base is made of Digestive biscuits (crumbs), center is sponge cake,  top is cream cheese & whipped cream, and covered with blueberries filling.

vanilla & chocolate cupcakes

I received a call last week from one of my regular customers. She asked for 2 boxes of cupcakes, 1 for her M-I-L, and 1 as a gift for a 'merisik' event. I've been out of practice lately since I've been concentrating on baking cakes for a couple of months now. Anyways, thanks Ezri for the order and the chance for me to brush up/practice on my "cupcake decorating" skill.

This one an additional order, for her family.

small cakes

Finally...I got the camera issue resolved! So, here are some cakes that I made yesterday for an event. These are plain sponge cake with buttercream icing. I've got to admit that to decorate a cake without sugarpaste really tough...because I don't really know how to shape the flowers with buttercream icing. The only flower that I know how to make is the rose.

thank you cupcakes & cake pops

I made these cupcakes for my ex-colleagues in my previous work place as a thank you note to them. Sorry for the bad photos as these were taken using the camera hand phone (had some issues with the "point and shoot" camera). These are chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache filling, covered with peanut buttercream icing and marzipan.

all 26 cupcakes packed in individual clear box.

While these are Chocolate cupcake pop (the 1st trial) which turn out quite okay, but I still thinks that it need improvement. I've been looking at Bakerella's website on these cute cakes and wanted to make some myself.

And these are my 2nd attempt which didn't turn out so well, the taste was all wrong....and I kinda hate the taste of the white chocolate on these cake pops.
